Music Ministry

The Wellington Choir wears blue scarves in solidarity with the Afghan Peace Volunteers and all who struggle for peace and justice through nonviolence. The Borderfree Blue Scarf is an initiative of the Afghan Peace Volunteers. They write, “These scarves represent our collective wish as a human family to live without wars, to share our resources and to take care of our earth under the same blue sky.”

When I admire the wonders of a sunset, or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator.” -Mahatma Gandhi

We invite you to join our team in developing the music ministry which is inclusive of children, teens and adults. Contribute to fresh and exciting goals for the coming year through an eclectic musical experience.

Using various musical styles and genres including classical, latin, gospel, global, traditional and contemporary songs and hymns, Wellington creates a thoughtful and inclusive experience that builds the WAUCC community and inspires us to live our faith in action. No musical background is required. Whether you read music or learn by ear, you are welcome.

We meet for open music rehearsal in the Sanctuary every Sunday before Worship at 9:30am.

The Wellington choir performed at the Great Lakes Bioneers annual conference at Roosevelt University in 2013.
