We are a community organized around faith in action. We take to heart these words from 1 John 3:17-18 (NRSV):
“How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother, sister or sibling in need and yet refuses help? . . . Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.” We also affirm the wisdom of St. Francis of Assisi who said, “Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words only when necessary.”
