Ann-Louise Haak was called as the pastor of Wellington Avenue UCC effective June 1, 2020. She believes that great things lie ahead for this committed community of faith, and embraces this call with joy and excitement as Wellington embarks on a new chapter and turns its focus towards the future.
Wellington’s ministry on immigrants and refugees allows Rev. Mousin to weave the value of welcoming the stranger with a real-world practice asserting legal remedies to those fleeing persecution. In 1984 he founded and directed the Midwest Immigrant Rights Center; an organization providing legal assistance to refugees which is now the National Immigrant Justice Center.
Chris’s unique blend of musical talent and political activism bring vibrancy not only to our worship but to many aspects of our collective journey of faith in action.
