Chris Inserra has served as the music director at Wellington since the fall of 2008 when Wellington invited her to lead the choir because of her vast and varied musical background both inside and outside of churches. Chris’s unique blend of musical talent and political activism bring vibrancy not only to our worship but to many aspects of our collective journey of faith in action. Her decades of experience as a music teacher and educator, leader of the political folk group, VOICES, and involvement with local, national and international social justice organizations provides her with ample resources to share music as one form of prayer and inspiration for hopeful change. Her song and her faith fuel her own activism through music. Chris continues to expand and diversify the repertoire of the choir including collaborating with multi-generational voices from within and beyond Wellington’s community.
