In 2014, with studies showing melting ice sheets in western Antarctica were threatening coastal cities like New York, we were alerted to the dangers of our continued dependence on fossil fuels. Wellington UCC heard this message and took action, installing PV panels on the roof to produce the building’s electricity. When the production exceeds the building’s needs, it goes to supply the local power grid.
