Members of First Church of the Brethren (FCoB), Chicago Community Mennonite Church (CCMC) and Wellington (WUCC) will join together to lift up the words of Dr. King and celebrate his legacy for us today. Plan to stay for a potluck afterwards!

If you’re willing to bundle up & join us in the streets – come on out on MLK Day to protest fear and violence, and proclaim the power of love!

If you’d rather attend an INDOOR celebration, please REGISTER for the Community Renewal Society’s (CRS) 2025 Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Faith in Action Assembly
1:00 PM on January 20th

During the in-person convocation at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago, enjoy the choir ensemble from CRS member congregation Trinity United Church of Christ and be moved to action by the poetic and musical artistry of Laurence Minter, Common Hymnal, Jonathan Lykes, and Malcolm London.

The January Congregational Meeting will take place following worship on Sunday, January 26th, on Zoom.

In addition to voting on a new physical location, we’ll receive committee reports! Elect new leaders! Determine the 2025 budget!

Thank goodness this much fun only happens once a year. Embrace your congregationalist roots, and plan to attend.

This announcement constitutes formal notice to our members, in accordance with our bylaws.

Bread for the World is launching their “Nourish our Future” campaign to end hunger on Tuesday, February 4th. Please get involved by signing their petition!
