One more week to give!
LIBERATE 46 is a mutual-aid organization in the 46th Ward providing support and community to unhoused neighbors, especially those living under the LSD viaduct.
A new weekly offering to keep our hearts, minds, and actions aligned with the people of Palestine.

Last week, the Israeli military raided Um Al Kheir* and issued final demolition orders on the village’s community center and multiple residential structures. Um Al Kheir is one of the most repeatedly targeted Bedouin communities in Masafer Yatta, having endured more than 20 demolition operations since 2007, during which over 100 residential, agricultural, and public structures were destroyed, the most recent occurring in February 2025.
*Chris Inserra visited this community November 2025

Holy God, we lament the ongoing colonial violence against the community of Um Al Kheir. Be present with the people and give them strength and hope even when it feels impossible. We pray for urgent interventions from the international community and accountability for all those committing these acts of violence.
Lord in your mercy…hear our prayer.

Outreach Report from the Field this Sunday!
Stick around for Fellowship Hour on Sunday November 9th to hear from Rubi Mendez, an incredible youth organizer who travelled to the Philippines last year with support from Wellington UCC. Rubi was a youth intern during our 2022 WILD program, leading a group of 20 high school students in a program to learn about community organizing in Chicago. When she got to college, she joined Dissenters – a national youth organization opposing the war industry. With Dissenters, Rubi travelled to the Philippines last summer to learn from Filipino workers, students and families that have been directly impacted by US militarism.
During this report-back, she’ll share about her life-changing trip to the Philippines, and about ongoing work she’s doing to support the Filipino community here in Chicago – including ways we can get involved! We hope you’ll join us!
