Remember – this Sunday is our
Semi-Annual Congregational Meeting!

The worship service will be shorter than usual
so we have plenty of time to celebrate the accomplishments
of the past year and plan for the year to come!

Please make every effort to attend –
we can’t do this work without you!

SOAWatch co-coordinated a powerful Bi-national AZ-Mexico Border gathering with the Border Patrol Victims’ Network in October 2022.

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023 @7pm CST, SOAWatch will host an hour long a Multi-Media Webinar including a presentation
from the border and the work ahead. Register today by clicking the image above!

The Last Supper (*of the month) Club provides a new opportunity to replenish your body & soul in an intimate setting.
Here’s how it works:

–> Pastor Ann-Louise prepares a meal & opens the table to all.
–> There will be a limited number of seats each month, so RSVP ASAP!
–> Come to the table to be fed, and to engage in conversation with others.

The Last Supper (*of the month) Club will always be held at 6pm on the last day of the month – easy to remember! If you’ve got dietary restrictions, share them when you RSVP so we can safely feed you.

Coming Soon!

50 years ago, a small dedicated group of neighbors – Jo Bolger, Kate Marshall, and Barbara Langer-Tchaou – began a grassroots effort to help their less fortunate neighbors in the Lakeview community. In their first year of operation, this small but mighty group – The People’s Pantry of Lakeview – collected food from local churches and temples, and held weekly drives at Treasure Island, Jewel and Evergreen Groceries. They served just under 100 people in 1970!

Today, Nourishing Hope employs more than 40 staff, has 5,000 volunteers, and serves residents living throughout Chicago. In addition to home deliveries, Online Market orders, and dozens of community pop-up partnerships, they also provide critical social services including mental health counseling, job search support and crisis intervention.

Wellington has supported this pantry since its earliest days. You are invited at 11am on Friday, January 27th to join members of the Outreach Committee for a tour of their facility at 3945 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, IL 60613. Interested? RSVP to the Church Office!

The Guetterman Trio, one of many student groups at DePaul, has been rehearsing and performing together since the spring of 2022.

The group members are Nicholas Guetterman (piano), Nicole Holman (cello), and Jason Hurlbut (violin). Main works they have performed are the Mendelssohn Piano Trio No. 1 in D minorand Shostakovich Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor.
