SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – SUNDAY, OCT. 13TH AFTER THE SERVICE

The Outreach Committee and the Immigrant Justice Task Force have allocated the last of their appropriations for 2024 with four months still remaining before the 2025 church budget is adopted.

Wellington has supported more than 30 organizations and programs in addition to the Bring Chicago Home campaign and the Voter Education Drive.

The endowment fund has earned about $500,000 so far this year, so there is money to share without depleting the endowment.

Therefore, the Outreach Committee joins the Endowment Committee in unanimously offering and recommending a positive vote on the following resolution:

Be it moved that Wellington U.C.C. support the Endowment Committee’s proposal that an additional $50,000 be made available to the Outreach Committee in 2024
(with $10,000 of those funds to be allocated by the Immigrant Justice Task Force).

31 days until the Presidential Election – don’t delay!

Join Wellington’s 2024 Citizen Education Drive, because voting is faith in action.

Wellington has helped to write over 3,500 postcards to help get out the vote. Go team!!!

If you’d like to make calls or join a canvassing team, Operation Swing State is organizing voters from Illinois to make a difference in Wisconsin and Michigan, which are key states.

Click here to see the options for phone banking and door knocking. Training provided!

Colleen Harper is hosting the Last Supper* Club in October – but on October 24th, so as to avoid any conflicts with Halloween!

She’s got room for SIX guests – snag a seat before they’re gone!

Submit your RSVP to the Church Office with a call or a text (773-935-0642), or click on the button below to RSVP by email.
