A great time was had by all.

In the Wellington tradition of speaking truth to power,
Pastor Ann-Louise joined the Chicago chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace this week in an act of civil disobedience.
The action called out Sen. Tammy Duckworth for accepting funding from arms manufacturers, and urged Caterpillar to “turn swords into plows/not the other way around.”
It was a powerful and peaceful action, with over a dozen arrests. Being processed at the police station did end up taking all day, so she apologizes to folks who tried to reach her on Tuesday and couldn’t!
The group has a court date on December 19th, and is being represented by the National Lawyers Guild.
Just say NO to leftover turkey!
There are still spaces left at the table for the November Last Supper – hosted by Claudette Richards on Saturday, November 30th.
RSVP today to save yourself a seat!
Book Club is closing out the year with
Afterlife, by Julia Alvarez.
“A compact, nimble, and sharply droll novel…it asks: What do we owe those in crisis in our families, including—maybe especially—members of our human family? How do we live in a broken world without losing faith in one another or ourselves? And how do we stay true to those glorious souls we have lost?” ~Goodreads

Music 4 the Soul
As Venice Williams’ poem from the day after the U.S. elections reminds us, “Pull yourself together”
She reminds us that many of her “ancestors dealt with 400 years under worse conditions.”
We are the ones we have been waiting for.
May this Freedom recording inspire you to keep on keeping on.
