Apache Stronghold/Save Oak Flat
invite us all to light fires on March 30 and announce our struggle for the sacred. Our fires will warn evil, the monetizing evil that threatens sacred Oak Flat, that we are here for the life that God gives, not money and power. Light a fire and pray.

Today is a liminal space, with Good Friday still casting its shadows over us. Be of good courage, beloveds, and take some time today to reflect on how hard it is to wait, to grieve, to be caught up in the vast unknowingness of this present moment.

Thanks to Mennonite Action for organizing the Good Friday Vigil for Gaza in Federal Plaza – and inviting us to join them as a co-sponsor! Each pair of shoes represents 20 civilians killed in Gaza – most of them killed by weapons built in our country & provided by our tax dollars.

Thankfully, we know something that those first disciples didn’t – which is that resurrection is right around the corner!

If you’re an early riser
– and it’s NOT raining! –
come on up to Rogers Park for a simple sunrise celebration.
Your pastor will be there, with some friends, freshly baked goods, and a word from Mary Oliver.

Meet up on the pier at Farwell & the lake at 6:30am.

Don’t be afraid to park in a tow zone!
If it’s raining, mumble “He is Risen” into your pillow instead.

No matter the weather, we’ll be gathering for an
in person service in the accessible Nambu Chapel at North Shore Baptist Church (lower level) at 10:30am!

We will have special music – trumpet! cello! piano! and a full choir!

Beautiful flowers! Communion! Delicious treats during Fellowship
           Hour to celebrate the day!
Dexter Johnson will be our liturgist, and Pastor Ann-Louise is preaching.

Hope to see you there!
