“Eat the danish, go to the show, laugh out loud! Love one another and you’ll never know what you’ll find.”
What great advice do YOU have to pass on? Which parts of your life are your “greatest hits”? Let’s explore them together at the next Coffee Talk, as we work on writing our own obituaries! For more inspiration, click HERE!

The people of Gaza are being systematically starved,
and denied access to humanitarian aid.
To draw attention to this atrocity, and stand in solidarity with our siblings in Gaza, Veterans for Peace has called for a 40-day fast for Gaza to run May 22-June 30.
Seven members of our congregation have committed to joining this fast – either by skipping a meal every day, eating just one meal a day, or fasting one day a week.
Please consider joining us for the month of June!
You can find helpful resources HERE and HERE.
Let Ann-Louise know if you’d like to be part of the Wellington contingent.
As the prophet Isaiah reminds us ~ “Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice…to let the oppressed go free…to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house…Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly…you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to live in.” (Isaiah 58)

This national day of action and mass mobilization responds to the increasing authoritarian excesses, rampant corruption, and appalling cruelty of the Trump regime and its allies.
We’re taking action to show the world what democracy really looks like. On June 14, we’re standing together to say no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
Indivisible Chicago, our chapters, and our other partner organizations are hosting the rally and march in downtown Chicago, which is one of the anchor cities for this nationwide action. To ensure that we loudly and clearly send an unmistakable message of opposition to this repressive regime, we need YOU!
Please sign up here to join us for the rally in Daley Plaza at 12:00pm, followed by a march through the downtown. Bring your family and friends, your neighbors, and your colleagues to join us at this family-friendly event. Make a sign and prepare to make some noise!

If you live in zip codes 60640 or 60660, be sure to read this announcement from our partners at ONE Northside!
Wellington is an institutional member of ONE Northside, a multi-issue organization building power across the north side. Sara Wohlleb is our congregational rep, and Ann-Louise is part of the clergy caucus. We welcome you to get involved as well!
Listening Campaign: ONE Northside has set a goal of hearing from 1000+ residents of our neighborhoods to inform decisions for future initiatives. We want Wellington’s voice to be heard! If you live in Chicago, please follow this LINK to the online survey, and contact Sara to let her know once it’s complete!
At the quarterly Membership Council meetings, we vote on initiatives and hear from each other about ongoing work in affordable housing, community safety, environmental justice and more. The next Council is Thursday, June 12 at North Shore Baptist Church. Please join us if you can! Register here and also let Sara know to expect you.
Proposed Upzoning in Uptown/Edgewater: It’s not too late to voice your opinion! You can watch the recorded explainer, (use code o2c=fF7P) read the slide deck, and communicate with Sara about your thoughts. You can also attend the ONE Northside meeting to vote on the organization’s official position: Monday, June 2, 6-7:30pm at ONE Northside’s office, 4750 N. Sheridan suite 200. All voters are required to have watched the recorded explainer before arriving at the vote meeting (see link and code above).
