Only two weeks left until our Worship & Picnic in the Park on July 27th! Debbie Southorn will be strumming the guitar in service, so start warming up your vocal cords & thinking about what you want to bring to the potluck feast!

A choice has been made – we are landing at
First Church of the Brethren
as our home for now. Click here to read the (unapproved) minutes of the June 22nd meeting, which includes the final vote results.

We’ve done the math – if 8 teams sign up to each unpack 10 boxes, we’ll have everything settled into place by September! Check your calendar now, because sign ups will begin next week.

We are still receiving gifts towards our June Helping Hands offering, supporting our Negro Spiritual Royalties initiative and The People’s Music School Greater South Side program (GSS).

Coffee Talk returns this Wednesday, July 16!
Please join us on Zoom at 10:30am.

Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom

Dr. Karlene Reid and Claudette Richards will lead a rich discussion of the second half of the book, through the Epilogue (p. 764).

Feel free to invite a friend, and bring questions you would like to have discussed.  As always – you’re welcome to attend even if you did not complete the reading!

If tackling this tome feels like too much, check out some of these shorter pieces by Douglass!

Claudette Richards is hosting July’s supper – and she’s
getting ready to
welcome you to the table at

6pm on Thursday, July 31st!

RSVP to the Church Office to save yourself a seat!

Only two seats remain!

Didja see??? Debbie Frisch and HelloBaby were featured on the CBS morning news! 🙂

Music 4 the Soul is on vacation for the summer –
so we’re bringing you some selections from
Wellington’s Eternal Dance Party: songs we want to play when we cast off our mortal coil.

Any guesses as to which Wellingtonian nominated this classic?
