If you haven’t done so already – reach out THIS WEEK!
This is a critical moment for the 2023 Farm Bill campaign –
a chance to build healthier, more equitable,
and sustainable food systems

The Outreach Committee asks everyone to
send an email or call your congresspeople regarding the Farm Bill (which includes food stamps) and urge passage with the highest SNAP benefits possible!  Most recipients lost $300 a month beginning last March.

Congress is currently on recess and will vote on the bill soon after the return in August. Call 1-800-826-3688 if you don’t know how to reach your representative.

JOIN THE WELLINGTON UCC JAIL SUPPORT TEAM!

You heard it in the sermon this past week – Chicago Community Jail Support is a great example of the solidarity that Jesus calls us to!

Join the Wellington Team from 5:00PM to 8:15PM on the first Friday of the month – starting August 4!

Have questions?

Call Meg Evans (at 217-553-2995) or Debbie Southorn (at 971-227-3829) for more info or to join this Wellington community effort! Friends are welcome to join in!

Upcoming Special Events!

The Last Supper Club is an experience of care & community – and all you have to do is show up!

Come let your body & spirit be fed. Bring a friend! Or invite someone from Wellington to join you. I promise, you won’t regret it…

This month’s Helping Hands offering

Our July Helping Hands offering supports Any Positive Change,a racially and ethnically diverse group composed of people living with HIV and drug use, working in addiction treatment, healthcare, education, law and other assorted areas. Their work entails building one-on-one relationships with individuals affected by HIV and drug use and provides them with a wide array of options for achieving any positive change as they define it for themselves.

To learn more about Any Positive Change click here.

and click here if you’d like to give online!
(Just remember to choose “Helping Hands”
