Coming Soon!

Wellington’s Book Group meets at 10:00am
on the third Saturday of each month. Newcomers are always welcome!

In September, we will be discussing Agent Josephine: American Beauty, French Hero, British Spy by Damien Lewis.

“Prior to World War II, Josephine Baker was a music-hall diva renowned for her singing, her beauty and sexuality; she was the highest-paid female performer in Europe.

When the Nazis seized her adopted city, Paris, she was banned from the stage, along with all “Negroes and Jews.” Yet instead of returning to America, she vowed to stay and fight the Nazi evil. Overnight, she went from performer to resistance spy.”

Interested? Pick up a copy today, you’ll be ready
for some lively discussion by September 17th!

Want to get ahead on your reading?
In October, we’ll be discussing The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. November’s selection is Wake: The Hidden History of Women-Led Slave Revolts by Rebecca Hall

Questions? Reach out to Claudette Richards, the Book Group Coordinator.

Join us on Saturday, September 24th, to honor and remember the
victims of residential boarding schools at the Every Child Matters PowWow. Click here for more information about the event.

The Outreach Committee has provided financial support to this event, organized by the American Indian Health Service of Chicago, and will help organize carpools closer to the day of the event.
