for a digital worship service!

We are excited to gather in person for a hybrid service on Sunday, September 6th with a special focus on Labor in the Pulpit! Liz Haas from ARISE Chicago will be our guest speaker.
Chris Inserra will also be back leading the choir after her summer break, AND we’ll be celebrating communion. Yum!

The Israeli military acknowledged for the first time that it opened fire on the vehicle carrying five-year-old Hind Rajab in Gaza and launched a military investigation into her killing. The military had previously denied involvement in her death in January 2024. Hind’s grandmother has called for an independent international investigation.

Holy God, while we pray for peace and dignity to be restored to Hind’s family and to the countless families suffering in Gaza, we remember that true peace is rooted in justice and liberation. We pray for an independent international investigation that will hold those responsible for injustice accountable. Strengthen our voices in every avenue, whether in the streets or through international mechanisms, to seek justice, peace, and reconciliation for all.
God in your mercy…hear our prayer.
