Sliman Mansour, the beloved Palestinian artist, passed away last week at the age of 79. His art was a powerful symbol of Palestinian hope, resilience, and humanity. Sabeel mourns his loss and remembers with deep gratitude his friendship and longstanding connection with Sabeel. Sliman generously shared his art for Sabeel’s publications and work, helping to bring the beauty, dignity, and enduring spirit of the Palestinian people to wider audiences.

Lord of all creation, we give gratitude to the life and witness of Sliman Mansour. We ask that you bring comfort to his community and loved ones. Guide us, oh Lord, to continue the legacy of Sliman’s creative resistance and witness. We pray that the good seeds Sliman planted in our lives continue to grow and bear fruit in our movement for liberation and justice.
God in your mercy…hear our prayer.
